The Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona has great pleasure in announcing the ninth European Prize for Urban Public Space, a biennial initiative which seeks to promote and recognise projects that create, transform and improve public space in Europe. The Prize is organised by the CCCB along with The Architecture Foundation (London), Architekturzentrum Wien (Vienna), the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine (Paris), the Museum of Finnish Architecture (Helsinki), the Deutsches Architekturmuseum (Frankfurt) and the Museum of Architecture and Design (Ljubljana). In the 2014 award of this prize, 274 projects from 30 different European countries were presented.
